Dave Mason is Mentor’s Head of Media & Crisis Communications Training.

His career in broadcasting and journalism spans 30 years in radio and television, having started out at the age of 18. Dave’s extensive experience as a presenter, reporter and producer in multi-media newsrooms at the BBC and ITV News, gives him a wide understanding of the need for organisations to communicate effectively and understand different audiences.

He is respected for his inspiring training, which is supportive and concentrates on fast learning development. Dave has conducted media and crisis coaching sessions for major public and private sector organisations, including the UK Armed Forces and NATO, around the world.

In his time running Mentor, Dave has pioneered a social media simulation platform, which is revolutionising crisis training for clients, and runs a team of highly experienced journalist/trainers.

Dave is also a visiting lecturer at several universities including the Cardiff School of Journalism, Gloucestershire and Bath Spa Universities. He is regularly in demand as a reputation management pundit, broadcasting on BBC Radio, LBC, Talk Radio, TV news, and as an international conference speaker on crisis issues.
